Senior Electrical Design Engineer – EV / ICP
Our client is a major utilities contractor delivering a variety of HV and EHV schemes in the varied and growing energy market. Milford RES has been asked to source an established electrical design engineer to sit within their growing EV / ICP business
The successful applicant will be initially overseeing a design portfolio that is entirely outsourced to independent design houses. You will be responsible for design management and assurance of these schemes. The medium to long term plan is to gradually bring more of this design in house. Initially therefore you will be picking up and delivering small packages of designs but as this process develops and grows you will move into a design management role and a team of designers will be built around you. As such this is an excellent opportunity for an ambitions design engineer looking to move into management.
To apply for this role you must meet the following criteria:
* Experienced electrical design engineer
* Experience working up to 11kv is essential
* You will have a wide range of substation, Grid, DNO, IDNCO and ICP experience
* Ideally you will be degree qualified in electrical engineering
* You must be willing to travel to off ices and sites as business dictates
* You must be familiar with a wide range of design packages including AutoCAD, EOM and Amtech.
* Applicants must be autonomous, professional and comfortable dealing with senior industry stakeholders
* Applicants must have a full driving license
* You must be based in the UK and fully eligible to work in the UK
This position is a permanent role. Regular visits to the Manchester area will be required but otherwise with the varied location of work there will be equal opportunity to work from home and travel nationally. For more information please submit your CV by clicking below
