The Opportunity This is a hands-on, senior-level DevOps role with real autonomy. Youll be responsible for designing, improving, and supporting cloud and on-prem infrastructure, while driving automation and best practice across the environment. Youll work closely with technical and non-technical teams, acting as a subject-matter expert, mentoring others, and helping the business scale securely and efficiently. The organisation actively supports professional development, including training and certifications, and offers clear long-term progression. Key Responsibilities Design, deploy, and maintain infrastructure across AWS and private cloud platforms Lead infrastructure automation using tools such as Terraform and Ansible Build and improve CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar) Implement monitoring and observability solutions to improve visibility and performance Collaborate with internal teams to enhance system reliability, resilience, and security Manage hybrid networking, IAM, firewalls, and VPNs Participate in an on-call rota and support incident response when required Produce clear technical documentation and contribute to operational best practice Skills & Experience Required Essential: 5+ years experience in a DevOps or cloud infrastructure role Strong hands-on AWS experience Experience with virtualisation platforms such as VMware or Proxmox Solid Linux administration skills Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform, Ansible) Containerisation and orchestration experience (e.g. Kubernetes / EKS) Scripting ability in Bash, Python, or Go Good understanding of networking and cloud security concepts Desirable: AWS certifications Experience with container or infrastructure security tools (e.g. Trivy) Whats on Offer Salary up to £65,000 depending on experience Hybrid working model Strong focus on training, development, and certifications 24 days holiday plus bank holidays Pension and life assurance Private medical cover Birthday day off and paid volunteering day Cycle to Work scheme Retail and lifestyle discounts Interested?
