About the roleWe are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Design Manager to join our dynamic and growing team. As a key player in the preconstruction and construction stage, you will be responsible for managing all design aspects from concept to completion, ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards, on time, and within budget.Your Main TasksLead and manage the design process for multiple projects, ensuring that designs meet the project’s objectives, budget, and timeline.Lead, coordinate and manage internal design teams and external consultants to ensure effective delivery of design objectives.Define and implement design strategies, management plans, and processes aligned with project and company goals.Play a key role in tendering and work closely with the Preconstruction team.Oversee and manage the design team, providing guidance and support.Review and approve design documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and client requirements.Manage project risks related to design and propose solutions to mitigate issues.Collaborate with the project management team to ensure the design aligns with the overall construction strategy.Conduct regular design reviews and meetings with stakeholders to track progress and ensure timely delivery.Your assetsStrong understanding of design processes, design regulations and construction techniques.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with multiple teams internally and externally.Strategic thinking.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, keeping them on track and within scope.Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to inspire and guide a team.Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.A degree or relevant qualification in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.Your Future Working Environment: Our London head office is situated near Chancery Lane tube station, in a lively and well‑connected area.Our BenefitsPrivate Medical Insurance & Life InsurancePension scheme30 days Annual Leave + Bank HolidayProfit Shared SchemesPersonalised Induction Plan (1:1 meeting with colleagues, induction day in France, etc.)Training & MentoringThe opportunity to develop and progress in a varied and agile construction businessCycle to Work SchemeVolunteering activities, Group travel and moreNext StepsYour profile is selected.
