Senior Design Engineer Certain Advantage is hiring for a Senior Design Engineer based in the Derby area. This role is on a permanent or contract basis and is site-based. The Company We’re working with an engineering company specialising in managing complex infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on nuclear energy, renewable energy, and digital transformation solutions. The Role This role is for a Senior Design Engineer—someone ambitious and ready to make an impact. You’ll be results‑oriented and driven to succeed. You’ll be leading a small, experienced, and collaborative team, and be responsible for:

Design new engineering components and assemblies Produce models and drawings of components and assemblies using CAD systems Research new product ideas and methods Improve existing products and processes Alter and modify the design Present concept and final designs to customer

The Individual We’re looking for people who can show:

Nuclear sector background or other highly regulated industry sectors. High degree of knowledge around Design for Manufacture Familiarity with 3D CAD systems (Siemens NX or similar) for model creation and drawing creation Familiarity with PLM systems (Teamcentre or similar) Professional qualification in an engineering‑related field SC Clearance or capable of achieving it.
