Senior DC (Defined Contribution) Pensions Consultant, Edinburgh

Mercer is seeking a Senior Defined Contribution (DC) Pensions Consultant to join our specialist DC team in delivering DC services to a large portfolio of clients. Our team is one of the largest, fully integrated teams in the UK, serving corporate sponsors, trustee boards of trust-based schemes, and governance committees of contract-based schemes.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as an expert in Defined Contribution Pensions and act as a lead consultant on clients, delivering and promoting our services.
• Manage your own client portfolio by assessing performance, trends, and business insights to ensure high-quality service.
• Hold responsibility for proactive revenue generation from existing clients and expanding DC services across other lines of business.
• Manage global DC plans, helping clients analyze and optimize their plan designs both globally and locally.
• Develop new business and maintain relationships through networking, attending industry events, and demonstrating expertise in DC pensions.
• Support and implement Mercer’s business and corporate strategies as a change agent.

Requirements:

• Experience in a Defined Contributions consultancy role.
• Excellent governance experience.
• Proven ability to manage projects and exceed client expectations.

Preferred Skills:

• Trust-based DC client consulting skills.
• Proven sales experience in developing new business from existing clients and new prospects.
