Senior Data Scientist – AI & Product Innovation

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Scientist to help build new capabilities that expand the product value proposition and create new ways for customers to understand, detect, and act on inefficient or wasteful digital traffic.

This role sits at the intersection of data science, AI, and product development, with a strong focus on 0-to-1 innovation. You will help identify opportunities to extend core product capabilities, rapidly prototype new solutions, and turn promising concepts into production-ready systems in close collaboration with Engineering and Product teams.

The role involves developing AI-powered systems, leveraging large language models (LLMs) and advanced machine learning techniques where they can create meaningful customer value and strengthen the product offering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the discovery and development of new product capabilities, from early-stage prototyping through to production-ready MVPs
• Translate customer and product needs into clear hypotheses, experiments, and proof-of-concepts (POCs)
• Work closely with Engineering and Product teams to take new capabilities from concept through to launch
• Ensure successful prototypes are translated into robust, maintainable, production-grade solutions
• Apply machine learning and AI techniques pragmatically, focusing on areas that deliver clear customer and product value
• Balance implementation effort, technical complexity, and expected commercial impact
• Contribute to the evolution of AI and ML foundations across the broader data function

Requirements:

• Strong experience designing, deploying, and operating production-grade machine learning systems
• Proven ability to rapidly prototype ideas and translate them into scalable, production-ready solutions
• Deep proficiency in Python and SQL
• Strong experience working with large-scale datasets in cloud environments
• Hands-on experience with LLM-based systems and applied AI workflows, including:
• RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation)
• agentic architectures
• NLP techniques
• Strong product and systems thinking, with a focus on:
• scalability
• reliability
• explainability
• Highly practical and pragmatic approach, able to balance technical depth with speed and business value

Desirable / Nice to Have:

• Proven experience with AWS cloud services, including:
• Amazon SageMaker
• Amazon Bedrock
• AWS Lambda
• Amazon S3
• Amazon Redshift
• Familiarity with MLOps best practices, including evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and iterative improvement
• Experience in adtech, media, fraud detection, or adversarial environments

Within the first 6–12 months, success in this role would include:

• At least one new capability shipped to production with measurable impact on customer outcomes
• A strong track record of fast, disciplined experimentation, validating quickly and building robustly around what works
• Meaningful advances to AI and ML foundations that are grounded in customer value and ready for production
• Evidence of raising the technical bar through standards, best practices, and knowledge sharing across teams
• Clear end-to-end ownership from experimentation through to delivery
