Senior Control Panel Designer

Role PurposeWorking 40hrs a week Monday – Friday. Collaborate to deliver accurate, consistent designs within budgets and agreed timescales. Work with other disciplines to provide supporting project documentation and ensure timely ordering of control panel components, steelwork and mounting plates. Support workshop staff during manufacturing, ensuring wiremen follow latest designs, accurate parts lists, and compliance with design standards. Remote or hybrid working is available from offices near Bath or Newport.
Responsibilities
Convert client requirements into project specifications.
Partner with the Project Manager and Design Manager to ensure designs meet client requirements and regulatory compliance.
Create designs applying technical innovation and production research.
Maintain design integrity through technical calculations, material research and cost efficiency.
Produce all required production and assembly drawings using a 2D CAD system.
Adhere to environmental standards.
Conduct site and client visits as required.
Communicate accurately with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Engage with end clients to keep them informed of project progress.
Qualifications
Essential – Experience with control systems, electrical drawing software, LV switchgear, PLCs, and instrumentation.
Desirable – Experience in the Water and Wastewater industry.
