Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer, ideally with a background in the water sector, to join our client's dynamic team in the North West. This exciting opportunity arises from continued growth and significant work-winning success throughout 2024. You'll be working closely with project managers, construction managers, and other key stakeholders, playing a crucial role in securing and delivering vital infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare tenders for clients and develop commercial bids to drive new business acquisition.
Develop and present comprehensive project proposals.
Meet with clients to ascertain and refine their requirements.
Produce detailed project plans and estimate associated budgets and timescales.
Discuss, draft, review, and negotiate the terms of business contracts.
Agree on budgets and timescales effectively with clients.
Manage construction schedules and budgets diligently.
Proactively address and resolve any unexpected costs that may arise.
Attend site meetings to monitor project progress and ensure alignment.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, site managers, and project managers.
Collaborate with third parties to ensure clear understanding of roles and responsibilities.
Ensure all construction projects meet agreed technical standards rigorously.
Liaise effectively with technical and financial staff, sub-contractors, legal teams, and client representatives.
Oversee final accounts at the culmination of each project.
Work effectively in both on-site and office environments as required.
Requirements
Degree or HND qualified in Construction or Project Management. Equivalent substantial work experience will also be considered.
Working knowledge of NEC3 / NEC4 / FIDIC contracts is highly desirable.
A strong understanding of the construction industry.
Proficiency in understanding legal documentation.
Solid Maths and IT knowledge.
Exceptional leadership skills.
Proven business management skills.
Demonstrated ability to use initiative effectively.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
