SENIOR CARE ASSISTANT PHILIP CUSSINS HOUSE The Role We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to provide exceptional support and care to residents in our beautiful residential home in the heart of Gosforth. This role involves working closely with our residents who require assistance with daily activities, medication management and emotional support ensuring a safe and respectful environment for everyone. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the lives of our residents by providing compassionate care tailored to individual needs. Main Duties

: The successful candidate will have the necessary skills, experience and qualities to take responsibility for main duties, as follows: Deliver the best possible quality of care to all residents and ensure their individual needs are met. Administration and ordering of medication for PCH residents - liaising with GPs, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure residents have the required medication in a timely manner. Acting as a key worker to designated service users. Acting as Key Holder when Home Manager and Deputy Manager are not on duty. Ensure that all residents have the necessary support and assistance to help optimise their quality of life. Development and implementation of individual care plans for residents. Maintain accurate and real time care information records on the required digital platform(s). Liaison with relatives of residents, as appropriate, ensuring they are kept informed of any matters/changes/concerns relating to the resident. Delegation of tasks and duties, as appropriate to Care staff. Supporting residents to engage with and participate in recreational activities relevant to their mental and physical capability. Regularly engage with residents to ensure their voice is heard, their needs understood and appropriate interventions are put in place to ensure the best possible quality of care. Hours - 36 hours per week, including weekends. Pay - £13.61 per hour. A transferable valid DBS is preferred as we are looking for the successful candidate to start as soon as possible upon receipt of satisfactory references.
