Job Title: Senior Buyer

Salary: Up to £75,000 + Package


We are working with a growing construction business to appoint an experienced Senior Buyer to manage procurement across multiple projects. This is a key role supporting project delivery through effective sourcing, cost control, and supplier management.


You’ll play a vital part in ensuring materials and subcontract packages are procured efficiently, competitively, and in line with project requirements.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end procurement in line with project programmes and budgets
  • Develop and maintain project procurement plans
  • Lead enquiries, analyse quotations, and appoint suppliers and subcontractors
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to achieve best value
  • Ensure all orders meet project specifications and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor spend against budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Maintain strong supplier relationships and resolve procurement issues
  • Provide updates on procurement progress, risks, and commitments
  • Support reporting, forecasting, and commercial decision-making


Health & Safety Responsibilities

  • Comply with all Health, Safety, and Environmental policies
  • Take responsibility for your own safety and others around you
  • Use equipment and PPE as required
  • Report any incidents, accidents, or near misses


General Responsibilities

  • Complete a minimum of 20 hours CPD annually
  • Follow company policies, including Equality & Diversity
  • Support team development and uphold company values
