Senior Banqueting Sous Chef
Heaton House Farm Stable Yard Catering
4 days per week | 8:00am6:30pm | Occasional evenings
Permanent | Full-time or Part-time
Heaton House Farm is a family-run events business, home to Heaton House Events and our onsite catering company Stable Yard Catering. We are renowned for delivering exceptional weddings alongside charity events, corporate meetings and flagship company events, all supported by a professional and friendly team.
We are now seeking an experienced Senior Banqueting Sous Chef to join our kitchen brigade and play a key leadership role within our banqueting operation.
What youll be doing
  • Supporting the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen
  • Preparing and delivering high-quality food for large-scale banqueting events
  • Planning and organising daily food operations
  • Leading, supervising and mentoring junior and agency chefs
  • Taking full responsibility for the kitchen in the Head Chefs absence
  • Maintaining excellent food safety, hygiene and cleaning standards

About you
  • Proven experience across all sections of the kitchen
  • Strong banqueting background with high-volume service experience
  • A confident senior chef who leads by example
  • Passionate about food with excellent attention to detail
  • Able to work independently while contributing positively to a team

Working pattern
  • Predominantly 4 days per week
  • Usually daytime hours: 8:00am6:30pm
  • Occasional evening shifts only, depending on event requirements
  • Weekends and bank holidays required as part of an events business
