Location: East England
We are seeking an experienced High Voltage Senior Authorised Person (SAP) to support HV/LV electrical engineering projects, including substation construction, network upgrades, and planned outages. You will play a critical role in ensuring safe and efficient operations in line with Distribution Safety Rules.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and execute HV switching schedules using PowerOn and other DNO systems
Safely isolate and earth high-voltage apparatus
Issue Permits to Work, Sanctions for Test, and Limitations of Access
Develop and implement safety documentation and method statements
Attend client meetings and support the resolution of operational issues
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to project planning activities
Ensure full compliance with safety standards, company policies, and HSE legislation
What Youll Bring
SAP authorisation at 11kV, 33kV, or 132kV on a UK DNO network
Experience in substation construction, HV commissioning, or network maintenance
Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, safety regulations, and outage planning
HNC or Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Full UK driving licence, with flexibility to travel across East Anglia and surrounding regions
