Job Summary

We’re seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to transform how we leverage data, automate reporting, and unlock actionable insights to drive our business forward. In this role, you’ll work closely with commercial, product, and leadership teams to turn raw data into strategic answers - helping us understand not just what happened, but why.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Automate and streamline business reporting processes, eliminating manual spreadsheet work and recurring BI tasks.
  • Build and maintain dashboards in Looker Studio (and other tools as needed) to provide business users with timely, self-serve insights.
  • Deep-dive into data to uncover the drivers behind key metrics—identifying trends, anomalies, and the “why” behind our numbers.
  • Integrate new data sources (e.g., Stripe, CRM platforms) into our data warehouse and analytics stack.
  • Present findings through clear charts, written commentary, and actionable recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Partner with stakeholders across commercial, product, and finance teams to answer business-critical questions and enable data-driven decision making.
  • Help develop and evolve our analytics infrastructure, introducing best practices for automation, data quality, and scalable reporting.

What You Bring to the Table

  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, analytics engineering, or business intelligence, preferably in a technology or SaaS environment.
  • Expertise in SQL and data modelling, with hands-on experience working with cloud data warehouses (BigQuery a strong plus).
  • Proficient with BI tools (Looker Studio, Superset, or similar), able to build robust dashboards and compelling visualizations.
  • Practical experience automating data workflows (e.g., with Python, or orchestration tools).
  • Analytical mindset with a passion for asking “why” - not just reporting numbers but digging into causes and business impact.
  • Strong communication skills, able to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Experience integrating and working with data from external sources and APIs (e.g., Stripe, CRM systems).
  • Self-starter with a sense of ownership, curiosity, and the drive to continuously improve processes.

Bonus points for:

  • Previous experience in business services or financial technology (FinTech), especially in areas like compliance, payments, or SaaS metrics.
  • Exposure to statistical analysis or experimentation (A/B testing, cohort analysis, etc.).
  • Familiarity with data pipeline tools (e.g., Airflow) and modern data stack concepts.
