As a Senior Agileелә Business Analyst in the Core Banking value stream within our Group Transformation function, you will join a growing and supportive environment. You will report to the Product Owner and play a critical role in defining solutions that are desirable, feasible and sustainable, supporting delivery across theдает full product lifecycle. You will act as a key conduit between business stakeholders and our laboratory development teams, engineers and domain services, ensuring alignment with the Product Owner’s vision, goals and prioritised backlog. The role can be based in either the Wolverhampton or Chatham office and benefits from a hybrid‑working policy, with required travel to our London office. Responsibilities
Understand complex business requirements across core banking, working with internal and external engineers to define end‑to‑end processes and solutions. Conduct business impact assessments, feasibility studies and solution research, making informed recommendations to meet business objectives. Refine user stories and break them down into smaller tasks, ensuring clarity and alignment with the overall vision for credit decisioning and mortgages. Support Product Owners to shape and prioritise the backlog. Actively participate in agile ceremonies and identify areas for improvement, contributing to continuous improvement of the end‑to‑end mortgage and loans journey. Ensure end‑to‑end traceability against quality standards and regulatory requirements. Apply Lean, Agile, customer‑centric and design‑thinking principles throughout analysis and solution design.
Qualifications and Requirements
Strong track record as a Senior Business Analyst or Product Owner withinાલી Agile environments, ideally on large‑scale change initiatives within a bank. Extensive practical knowledge of business and technical analysis tools, techniques and methodologies, with experience using JIRA and Confluence. Deep understanding of core banking platforms and their role in delivering customer and business outcomes, including technical awareness of software development processes, architectures, APIs and integrations. Proven experience in Mortgage and Savings Calendar, spanning operations, technical and business services, with hands‑on involvement in application integration and orchestration layers, including defining and managing service contracts. Strong understanding of core banking and account operations, including GL mapping, posting validation, reconciliation, settlement, end‑of‑day/batch processing and operational reporting, alongside familiarity with analytics, data governance, KYC/AML, Consumer Duty, GDPR and related regulatory requirements. Ability to think laterally, understand the bigger picture and communicate complex concepts clearly. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead workshops, engage diverse stakeholders and document as‑is and to‑be business processes and customer journeys. Extensive practical knowledge of Agile change methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe), with the ability to work closely with cross‑functional teams.
