Senior Accountant – Practice (Hybrid, Milton Keynes) Milton Keynes | Full-time, Permanent | £45,000–£60,000 The Role Due to continued growth, we’re looking for a talented and motivated Senior Accountant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice accountant ready to take on more responsibility, manage a diverse client portfolio, and play a key role in delivering high-quality client services. Key Responsibilities Client Management & Advisory * Act as the main point of contact for a portfolio of clients * Build and maintain strong client relationships * Identify tax planning opportunities and provide proactive advice Technical Delivery * Prepare statutory accounts, corporation tax returns, self-assessment returns, and P11Ds * Produce monthly and quarterly management accounts * Prepare real-time Capital Gains Tax reports * Manage multiple assignments and ensure deadlines are met * Support with ad-hoc projects and advisory work * Apply knowledge of overseas taxation for individuals and companies Team Support * Mentor and support junior team members * Stay up to date with accounting standards and tax legislation About You * ACCA or ACA qualified (essential); CTA advantageous * Minimum 4–5+ years’ experience in a UK accountancy practice * Strong knowledge of Xero or similar cloud accounting software (Iris experience beneficial) * Confident managing a varied client portfolio * Highly organised, detail-oriented, and commercially aware * Strong communication skills with a proactive, client-focused approach What We Offer * Competitive salary (£45k–£60k depending on experience) * Hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 from home) * Flexitime and a supportive, collaborative team culture * Company pension, free parking, and private medical insurance * Health & wellbeing support, sick pay, and enhanced maternity leave * Bonus scheme and genuine progression opportunities How to Apply We are looking to recruit as soon as possible.
