We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established accountancy practice with strong presence across Surrey. They offer genuine flexibility, hybrid working arrangements, and clear long-term development opportunities.
The firm now seeks an experienced Senior Accountant looking to take a step up or an existing Accounts/Client Manager to take a pivotal position at the firm. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who wants variety, client ownership, and the ability to develop their role – whether that's technical progression, leadership, or expanding into specialist service lines.
About the Role
You will manage a diverse portfolio of SME and larger clients, acting as a key point of contact while overseeing a mixture of compliance and advisory work. The role provides autonomy, responsibility, and scope to become more involved in areas that interest you.
Managing a diverse portfolio of clients and maintain strong working relationships
Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts, to include more complex cases
Supervising and reviewing work produced by junior team members across the department
Providing clear and proactive advice to clients on technical and commercial matters
Preparing or reviewing management accounts and corporation tax returns
Supporting the development of junior staff, including mentoring and on-the-job training
About You
Ideally ACA/ACCA fully qualified with at least 5+ years' experience working in a UK based practice environment as either a Senior or Manager
Solid understanding of year end statutory accounts, VAT, and taxation fundamentals
Ability to review work effectively and support junior team members
Confidence communicating with clients and building long‑term relationships
A collaborative approach and keen eye for detail
