Job Description
The Account Executive within Lockton’s GB Retail team is a senior strategic role focused on supporting multinational technology organisations with complex global insurance and risk requirements. This position leads some of Lockton’s most sophisticated international accounts, delivering coordinated solutions that address the unique challenges of fast-scaling tech companies, including cross-border operations, global mobility, regulatory fragmentation, product innovation, and rapidly evolving digital risks.
A core part of the role is working closely with US Global Technology Practice leaders and leveraging the full strength of the Lockton Global Network to ensure clients receive seamless, best-in-class service across all territories and time zones. As a key contributor of the tech practices success you should have a strong understanding of the global technology sector—emerging trends, operational models, regulatory environments, and the dynamics of fast-scaling digital businesses
The Account Executive aligns UK and US leadership strategies, ensuring integrated programme design, consistent delivery standards, and unified communication across all global stakeholders.
Key accountabilities:
- Primary UK Client Lead: Serve as the main point of contact for multinational technology clients, delivering world-class service and ensuring all UK-led activity is executed to the highest standard
- US Practice Collaboration: Work closely with US Technology Practice leaders to align global strategy, share insights, and maintain consistent programme delivery
- Strategic Account Direction: Develop and execute strategic risk and insurance plans tailored to the needs of global technology clients, addressing fast-evolving exposures
- Service Delivery Excellence: Oversee day-to-day service delivery across all regions, ensuring timely issuance of policies, accurate documentation, and proactive issue resolution
- Client Governance & Reporting: Lead stewardship meetings, KPI reviews, and governance forums, ensuring integrated global reporting and clear visibility of performance across international teams
- Global Collaboration: Mobilise expertise from Lockton’s global technology specialists, analytics teams, and international broking hubs to provide cohesive, value-enhancing support
- Value-Added Services: Deliver tailored initiatives such as risk engineering sessions, innovation workshops, mobility advisory, and market insights for technology clients operating internationally
- Multi-Line Technical Knowledge: Clear understanding of core lines including Casualty and Motor, with experience overseeing and coordinating Specialty lines (e.g., Cyber, D&O, Product/Tech E&O, Property, Marine, and other relevant classes) within complex global programmes
Key behaviours:
- Leadership & Delegation: Lead and mentor cross-regional teams, delegate effectively, and ensure alignment between UK-led service execution and broader global strategy and local delivery
- RFP & Proposal Management: Produce high-quality RFP responses and client proposals, leveraging global capabilities, benchmarking, and market intelligence from the US and other key regions
- New Business Development: Identify and secure new opportunities across the global tech ecosystem, collaborating with US and international colleagues and producers to drive growth in high-potential markets
- Stakeholder Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurers, and internal stakeholders across the global network to support coordinated service delivery.
