SEN Teaching Assistant – Full Time
Vision Teaching is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant for a full-time position within a school located in Waltham Forest. This SEN Teaching Assistant role is ideal for individuals who are committed to supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will be responsible for supervising and interacting with students with a range of complex needs. As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching and SEN staff to ensure pupils receive consistent and effective support throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities of the SEN Teaching Assistant:

Supporting students with a variety of SEND on a one-to-one and small-group basis
*
Providing personal care support where required
*
Assisting pupils who use non-verbal communication methods
*
Implementing positive and effective behaviour management strategies
*
Supporting learning, emotional development, and engagement
*
Maintaining a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Requirements for the SEN Teaching Assistant:
*
Previous experience working with SEND, either in a paid role or through extensive personal experience
*
Willingness and ability to carry out personal care duties
*
Strong behaviour management skills
*
Experience and confidence supporting non-verbal communication
*
A professional, patient, and compassionate approach
