SEND Teaching Assistant

A secondary school in Peckham (SE15) is looking for a compassionate and experienced Teaching Assistant to join their team. This full-time role involves supporting students with moderate to severe learning needs.

You will provide 1:1 and small group support, assist with personal care, and work closely with teaching staff to help students thrive both academically and personally. Personal care will be required in most cases. The school is welcoming and inclusive, offering a supportive environment for both students and staff.

Key Details:
• Location: Peckham (SE15) - Closet station (Elephant & Castle)
• Hours: 08:30 AM – 4:30PM, Monday to Friday (Term-time only)
• Pay: £13.69/ per hour (PAYE)
• Start Date: January 2025
• Role: Supporting students with SEND on a 1:1 basis and in small groups

Requirements:
• Enhanced DBS (Child and Adult) registered on the Update Service
• Previous experience in care, SEND, or a similar role is essential
• Comfortable with personal care responsibilities
• Strong communication skills and a patient, empathetic approach
• Must be available full-time, Monday to Friday
