SEND Teacher – Full-Time, Long-Term Role (Manchester)
The Education Specialists are recruiting for a committed and compassionate SEND Teacher to work within a PRU-type setting in Manchester. This full-time, long-term position is available to start ASAP and offers a rewarding opportunity to support students with a range of additional needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to students with SEND and SEMH needs
Create a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment
Manage challenging behaviour effectively using a calm and consistent approach
Monitor and track student progress, adapting teaching strategies where necessary
Work collaboratively with support staff, external professionals, and families
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Have experience working with students with SEND, SEMH, or within alternative provisions such as PRUs
Be confident in managing challenging behaviour and promoting positive outcomes
Demonstrate strong communication and relationship-building skills
Be adaptable, resilient, and committed to supporting students with complex needs
Desirable (but not essential):
Team Teach training or similar behaviour management certification
Experience delivering a broad, differentiated curriculum in a specialist setting
