*Duties*
* Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum and cater to diverse learning styles. * Teach mathematics concepts effectively, ensuring students grasp fundamental principles and can apply them in various contexts. * Utilise behaviour management techniques to maintain a conducive learning environment. * Provide additional support through tutoring sessions for students requiring extra help. * Collaborate with colleagues to create interdisciplinary projects that enhance the educational experience. * Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and areas for improvement. * Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices. * Mentor students, fostering their academic and personal growth while encouraging a love for mathematics. * Incorporate technology into lessons to enhance learning experiences and engagement.
*Requirements*
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification is essential. * Strong knowledge of mathematics curriculum and pedagogy, with experience in teaching at various educational levels. * Experience working with children, particularly in early childhood education or special education settings, is highly desirable. * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues. * Skills in behaviour management and applied behaviour analysis to support diverse student needs. * Proficiency in proofreading lesson materials and assessments for clarity and accuracy. * Experience in tutoring or mentoring students is an advantage. * Familiarity with childcare practices, including toddler care and preschool experience, is beneficial but not mandatory. * A willingness to teach physical education alongside mathematics would be considered an asset.
