The Opportunity: Long Term Futures are seeking an experienced and passionate Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to join a supportive and inclusive school in the Islington area. You will play a strategic and hands-on role in leading SEND provision across the school, ensuring pupils with additional needs receive high-quality, personalised support that enables them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Your Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the school's SEND provision in line with statutory requirements Coordinate the identification, assessment, and support of pupils with SEN Develop, implement, and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and EHCPs Work closely with senior leaders, teaching staff, and support teams Liaise with parents/carers, external agencies, and local authorities Monitor pupil progress and evaluate the effectiveness of SEN interventions Ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice and safeguarding policies Provide guidance, training, and support to staff on inclusive practiceRequirements:
