An inclusive and forward-thinking secondary school in Brent, North West London is seeking a compassionate and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time, temporary basis from January 2026.\n\nThis school is recognised for its strong pastoral care, inclusive values, and dedication to supporting students across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. With a diverse school community and a well-structured SEN provision, staff work closely together to ensure every pupil feels supported, understood, and empowered to succeed.
The leadership team places high importance on staff wellbeing, collaboration, and clear systems, creating a positive and purposeful working environment.\n\nThe Role\n\n• As an SEN Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:\n\n• Supporting students with a range of special educational needs in class and in small groups\n\n• Providing 1:1 support to help students access learning and build confidence\n\n• Assisting teachers with classroom management and lesson delivery\n\n• Implementing personalised support strategies and EHCP targets\n\n• Encouraging positive behaviour, independence, and engagement\n\n• This role is ideal for someone who is patient, adaptable, and passionate about inclusive education.\n\nThe Ideal Candidate\n\nYou will:\n\n• Have experience supporting children or young people with SEN\n\n• Be empathetic, reliable, and proactive\n\n• Communicate effectively with staff, students, and families\n\n• Be committed to safeguarding and promoting equality\n\n• Bring energy and a positive attitude to the school day\n\nWhat’s on Offer\n\n• Competitive daily rate of £90–£100\n\n• Full-time, term-time only hours (8:30am – 3:30pm)\n\n• Supportive SEN team with ongoing guidance and training\n\n• Valuable experience in a well-regarded secondary school\n\n• A rewarding role where your contribution truly matters\n\nWhy work via Teach Now?\n\nTeach-Now are a widely recognised, education recruitment company.
