Milk Education are currently working on behalf of a specialist SEN school in Newcastle that caters for children and young people with complex needs, primarily Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). The school is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis, starting as soon as possible.

This SEN Teaching Assistant role involves supporting students with a range of additional needs in both one-to-one and small group settings, helping them access learning in a safe, structured, and nurturing environment. You will work closely with class teachers, therapists, and support staff to implement individual education plans (IEPs), promote positive behaviour, and encourage social and emotional development.

The ideal SEN Teaching Assistant will:

Have experience supporting children with Autism and complex needs (school or care-based experience welcome)

Be patient, resilient and empathetic

Have strong communication and teamwork skills

Be committed to safeguarding and inclusive education
