SEN Teaching Assistant HillingdonLocation: Hillingdon, West London Salary: £90£110 per day (dependent on experience) Contract: Full-time, term-time onlyAbout the RoleWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Hillingdon. This role involves supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them to access learning, develop independence, and thrive within a nurturing classroom environment.You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide tailored support, ensuring every child can reach their full potential.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN (e.g. ASD, ADHD, speech & language needs)Assist in the planning and delivery of differentiated learning activitiesSupport pupils emotional regulation, behaviour, and social developmentImplement EHCP targets and personalised learning strategiesFoster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environmentWork collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionalsMonitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback where requiredEncourage independence, confidence, and a positive attitude to learningAbout YouHave experience working with children with SEN (school-based or similar setting)Be adaptable, resilient, and able to respond to individual pupil needsDemonstrate strong communication and teamwork skillsShow a genuine commitment to supporting pupils academic, social, and emotional developmentBe enthusiastic about creating a positive and supportive learning environmentWhy Horizon Teachers?We are like you!
