Complex Needs Teaching Assistant – Long-Term Role Location: Erdington Role Type: Long-term / Ongoing Start Date: ASAP / Next Term

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Teaching Assistant to work in a specialist complex needs school in the Erdington area. This is a long-term position and is best suited to someone with hands-on experience supporting pupils with complex needs.

The role will involve:

Supporting pupils with complex learning needs, including a combination of ASD, PMLD, SLD, SEMH, and physical or medical needs

*

Providing 1:1 and small-group support in a specialist setting

*

Assisting with personal care where required

*

Working closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff

*

Creating a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment

The ideal candidate will have:

Previous experience working with complex needs (essential)

*

A calm, resilient, and patient approach

*

A strong understanding of behaviour management and sensory needs

*

Relevant TA or SEN qualifications (desirable but not essential depending on experience)
