Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are currently seeking a committed Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive SEN secondary school in Bolton, with an immediate start available.
About the Role: As a Secondary SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students with a range of additional needs, helping them to access learning and develop independence in a structured and supportive environment. You will work closely with teachers and SEN professionals to provide tailored support both in class and on a 1:1 or small group basis.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide dedicated support to students with SEN, including autism, ADHD, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs Assist in the implementation of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) Support students in accessing the secondary curriculum across a range of subjects Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing Work collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists, and parents/carersWhat We're Looking For:
Experience working with children or young people with SEN (secondary school experience desirable) A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach Strong communication and behaviour management skills A genuine passion for supporting young people to achieve their potentialWhat's on Offer:
