SEN Teaching Assistant - Ramsgate

Academics are currently recruiting for a resilient and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in Ramsgate, supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

This SEN Teaching Assistant role is a full-time role, working 5 days per week, and would suit someone confident working with challenging behaviour and passionate about making a positive impact on young people's lives.

The Role: SEN Teacing Assistant

Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needs
Build strong, trusting relationships to support emotional regulation and engagement
Support the class teacher in delivering tailored lessons and activities
Use de-escalation techniques and behaviour strategies effectively
Promote a safe, structured, and supportive learning environmentRequirements: SEN Teaching Assistant

Previous experience working with children or young people with SEMH and challenging behaviour
Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, consistent approach
Resilient, patient, and adaptable mindset
A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners
Relevant experience in roles such as Support Worker, Youth Worker, or Teaching Assistant is highly desirableWhat's on Offer:
