SEN Teaching Assistant required for a friendly Maida Vale primary school. 1:1 support role working with KS1 in the morning and KS2 in the afternoon. Long-term opportunity in a welcoming school with supportive staff and fantastic pupils.

The Role

A welcoming one-form entry primary school in Maida Vale is seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant to support two pupils across the school day.

You will work:

• Morning: Supporting a pupil in Key Stage 1
• Afternoon: Supporting a pupil in Key Stage 2

Your role will focus on engaging the pupils, supporting their emotional wellbeing and helping them access the mainstream curriculum as much as possible.

Working closely with the class teachers and SENCo, you will help create a positive, structured and supportive learning environment where the pupils feel confident and included.

Requirements

• Previous experience supporting children with SEN
• Patient, positive and proactive approach
• Ability to adapt support strategies when needed
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection
