SEN Teacher Start Date: ASAP Location: Newham Full/Part-time: Full-time Salary: £170 - £240 per day (dependent on experience)
About the role/school We are working in partnership with a supportive and inclusive school in Newham to recruit a dedicated SEN Teacher. This role is based within a specialist SEN setting or resource provision, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and complex learning needs.
The successful SEN Teacher will be passionate about inclusive education and confident in adapting teaching approaches to meet individual pupil needs. You will work closely with experienced SEN staff and a supportive leadership team that values collaboration and professional development.
Job Responsibilities ➢ Plan and deliver differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with SEND. ➢ Create a structured, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment. ➢ Use a range of strategies to support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development. ➢ Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, adapting teaching as needed. ➢ Work collaboratively with SENCOs, therapists, and support staff. ➢ Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies.
Qualifications/Experience ➢ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential. ➢ Experience teaching pupils with SEND in a primary or SEN setting. ➢ Strong behaviour management and differentiation skills. ➢ A calm, patient, and resilient approach to teaching. ➢ Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service. ➢ Right to work in the UK.
