Job Title: SEN Teacher (SEMH) Location: East London
Salary: MPS/UPS – Paid to Scale
Contract: Full-time (Permanent or Long-term)
We are seeking a committed and resilient SEN Teacher with a passion for supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. This role is based in a specialist provision in East London, supporting pupils who require consistency, structure, and strong positive role models.
The Role:
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for pupils with SEMH needs
Teach small classes with high staff-to-pupil ratios
Implement trauma-informed and restorative approaches
Support pupils with emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
Work closely with behaviour mentors, LSAs, therapists, and safeguarding teams
Track progress against EHCP targets and individual behaviour plansThe Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Proven experience working with pupils with SEMH, behaviour needs, or in PRU/Alternative Provision
Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, consistent approach
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
A secure understanding of safeguarding and child protectionWhat’s on Offer:
