SEN Support Worker – Basingstoke | Full-Time | Term-Time Role
Basingstoke & surrounding areas | Paid to scale based on experience | 8:30am – 3:30pm | 5 days per week
GSL Education are seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Support Worker to support children with additional needs across inclusive schools in and around Basingstoke.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is patient, caring, and passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN / SEND).
The Role As a SEN Support Worker, you will:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with additional needs Assist with learning, communication, and emotional regulation Support teachers in delivering tailored education plans (EHCPs) Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment Encourage positive behaviour and social development Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and parents The Schools We work with a range of supportive mainstream and specialist schools across Basingstoke and Hampshire; all committed to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing.
What We’re Looking For
Experience supporting children or young people (SEN, care, youth work, support work or similar) Understanding of Special Educational Needs (autism, ADHD, SEMH, etc.); desirable Strong communication and interpersonal skills Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach Ability to build strong, tru...
