Self-Employed Estate Planning Consultant Join Co‑op as a Self‑Employed Estate Planning Consultant and enjoy flexible work, uncapped commission‑based earnings, and supportive collaboration with our SRA‑regulated team. You will provide estate planning advice and services across various UK locations. What you will do
Attend client appointments generated by the company (mostly video calls and local home visits). Generate at least 50 % of new business through referrals and self‑acquisition. Explain the benefits of estate planning products (Wills, LPAs, Trusts, probate services). Draft legal documents with support from Co‑op Legal Services. Deliver talks and seminars to community groups on later‑life legal products and services. Identify client needs and take accurate instructions to meet them. Record client instructions using our in‑house Estate Planning Assistant software.
This role would suit people who have
Proven estate‑planning or will writing experience trained to the IPW/SWW standard or legally qualified through CILEX. Excellent interpersonal skills with an empathetic nature and the ability to identify customer needs. Capacity to relay complex legal information in an accessible way. Confidence when presenting and a natural flair for engaging an audience. Consultation, influence and negotiation skills with enthusiasm for the product. Practical IT literacy in a remote setting using Microsoft Office and adaptability to custom software. A full UK driver’s licence and access to your own vehicle.
Eligibility You must live within an hour and a half commute of one of the following locations: London, Bristol, Essex, Oxford, Reading, Hertfordshire, Kent, Norwich, Ipswich, Surrey, Birmingham, Coventry, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire, Swansea or Cardiff.
