Secure Network Consultant – Frazer‑Nash Consultancy
Location: Flexible (office in Gloucester & client sites) with possible travel in the UK and overseas.Closing date: 11th January 2026.
Working Pattern: Flexible hybrid – office, client sites, work from home.

Responsibilities
Define requirements, plan and manage network hardware maintenance, upgrades and patches.
Conduct vulnerability assessment and risk management planning.
Implement network management tools and systems.
Monitor network and diagnose issues, identifying and resolving incidents.
Essential Experience
Familiarity with data centre health and safety protocols and management principles; experience in data centre network design (CCNP), network infrastructure design (CNIDP) and rack layout design.
Proven experience with Cisco routers, switches and network management/monitoring; knowledge of virtual machine environments and Juniper devices.
Experience with Cisco IOS, Linux OS and Windows Server environments.
Desirable Experience
Ability to produce technical documentation (Visio diagrams, configuration change logs, high‑level designs).
Project management skills (scope definition, timelines, stakeholder engagement, Waterfall & Agile).
Strong communication skills for translating technical concepts.
Incident response capabilities, prioritisation and post‑incident reviews.
Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence). Firewall policies and Zero Trust principles.
Due to the nature of the work, candidates undergo pre‑employment screening and satisfy UK National Security Vetting clearance criteria.
