Salary: £200-£265 per day, dependent on experience
We are delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for a passionate and committed Science Teacher to join a range of supportive and inclusive secondary schools across West and South West London. This full-time position is ideal for qualified teachers seeking stability, career development, and the opportunity to make a positive impact within a supportive secondary school environment.
Whether you are an experienced teacher or an ECT looking to broaden your experience, this role offers the chance to work in short-term, long-term, or day-to-day placements depending on your availability and preferences.
About the Role:
As a Secondary Science Teacher, you will deliver engaging and well-structured lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 Science, ensuring pupils remain motivated and supported in their learning. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of teaching and learning while fostering a positive and structured classroom environment.
Working across a variety of school settings, you will demonstrate strong subject knowledge, adaptability, and effective classroom management skills while supporting pupils in developing their scientific understanding and curiosity.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
Teach core scientific disciplines including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics where required
Maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning
Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies and procedures
Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of diverse learners
Assess, monitor, and provide feedback on pupil progress
Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and leadership teams
Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and school-specific policies at all times
About You:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Experience teaching Science within a secondary school setting
Strong subject knowledge across the Science curriculum
Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
Adaptable, flexible, and confident working in new environments
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
ECTs and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply
