Science Teacher – Alternative Provision

Location: Ilford, East London

We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Science Teacher to join an Alternative Provision in Ilford, supporting students who require a more personalised and nurturing approach to education.

This is a rewarding opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about making a genuine difference, working with small class sizes and students with a range of social, emotional, and behavioural needs.

The Role:

Teaching Science across KS3 and/or KS4

*

Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons

*

Supporting students with SEMH and additional learning needs

*

Creating a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment

*

Working closely with pastoral and support staff to promote positive outcomes

The Ideal Candidate:

*

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent experience

*

Experience working in Alternative Provision, PRUs, or SEN settings (desirable but not essential)

*

Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, consistent approach

*

Passionate about inclusive education and student progress

*

Adaptable, patient, and committed to supporting vulnerable learners
