Job Summary:
As a Sales Engineer, you will play a critical role in driving the sales process by providing technical expertise and support to customers and the sales team. Your primary responsibility will be to understand customer needs and effectively communicate how our data protection solutions can meet those needs. You will work closely with sales representatives, customers, and product development teams to ensure successful deployment and adoption of our data protection products and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for technology and sales.
Key Responsibilities:
· Work closely with the sales team to understand customer requirements and develop technical solutions to meet those needs.
· Conduct technical presentations and demonstrations to showcase Assured Data Protection’s products and capabilities to potential customers.
· Collaborate with customers to understand their IT environment, challenges, and goals, and provide guidance on how Assured Data Protection’s solutions can address their specific needs.
· Serve as a technical resource during the sales process, answering questions, providing technical expertise, and addressing any concerns that arise.
· Work with product management and engineering teams to provide feedback from customers and contribute to product improvement and development.
· Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitive products, and emerging technologies to effectively position Assured Data Protection’s solutions in the market.
· Assist with the preparation of proposals, RFP responses, and other technical documentation as needed.
· Participate in industry events, conferences, and seminars to promote Rubrik's solutions and establish thought leadership.
Key Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent practical experience.
· Multiple years of experience in a technical sales or sales engineering role, preferably in the IT infrastructure or data management industry.
· Strong understanding of enterprise IT environments, including storage, virtualization, networking, and cloud technologies.
· Experience with backup and recovery solutions, data management, and/or software-defined storage is highly desirable.
· Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
· Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to overcome technical challenges and meet customer needs.
· Willingness to travel as needed to meet with customers, attend events, and support sales activities.
