Role Overview
The firm is seeking a Sales Director to lead the go-to-market efforts for its newly launched SaaS platform across EMEA. This is a high-impact, strategic role focused on selling into hedge funds, asset managers, private equity firms, and investment banks.
This is the first dedicated SaaS sales hire in Europe, offering a unique opportunity to shape the commercial strategy, influence product direction, and build a high-performing sales function. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to cross-sell the firm's established data discovery and evaluation services into the same client base.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive the full sales cycle for the SaaS platform-from lead generation and discovery to demo, negotiation, and close
- Identify and engage with key stakeholders across investment and banking clients
- Collaborate with marketing and SDR teams to leverage campaigns and events for pipeline development
- Deliver compelling, story-led product demonstrations tailored to client pain points
- Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular forecasting updates
- Prioritize and manage pipeline opportunities to maximize revenue impact
- Provide client feedback to product and marketing teams to inform roadmap and positioning
- Represent the firm at industry events and client meetings across Europe (e.g., Paris, Geneva, Amsterdam)
- Meet or exceed revenue and activity targets
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 3-10 years of experience selling SaaS solutions, ideally into financial services
- Proven success managing complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles
- Strong consultative selling skills and the confidence to ask challenging questions
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities, both online and in person
- Highly organized with strong time management and CRM discipline
- Resilient, self-motivated, and passionate about technology and sales
- Familiarity with data management, alternative data, or market data is a plus
- Knowledge of sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDICC) is advantageous
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Must be eligible to work in the UK and available to start as soon as possible
