Crown Street Surgery is looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and team minded Salaried GP to join our well established practice in the heart of Acton. We're a 4 partner surgery caring for 10,500 patients, with excellent transport links and onsite parking. Were offering a 1 year post of 4 - 8 sessions to include Mon, Thurs and Friday, starting April/May 2026.We're a welcoming, down to earth team that values collaboration, learning and looking after one another. Our growing team includes GPs, coders, pharmacists, paramedics, ANP, Nurse Associates, HCAs and fantastic reception and admin staff, helping keep workloads safe and admin manageable.A typical day supports a healthy work/life balance. Morning surgery begins around 08:30, followed by a friendly midmorning catchup. Twice a week at 12:30 we meet to review cases and share learning. Afternoon clinics run 14:30 - 17:30, with protected admin time.Workload is fair and sustainable: up to 30 patients on routine days, with lower caps on duty sessions. Home visits are rare thanks to our paramedic team.We offer a BMA aligned contract that supports a personalised development plan and offer opportunities for teaching, leadership and QI. Your role includes routine and duty clinics, collaborative clinical discussions, contributing to practice development and working closely with our wider primary care team.Clinical SessionsMorning clinics 09:30 to 12:30, up to 15 patients Afternoon clinics 14:30 to 17:00, up to 15 patients.Home visits only when the paramedic is unavailable, allocated via a structured rota.Shared admin tasks including documents, prescriptions and resultsDuty DoctorYou will join the duty rota, normally two sessions weekly (based on 8 sessions), including at least one afternoon.Morning Duty (08:30 - 13:30): urgent triage, e-consults, supporting staff and trainees, reviewing emails and occasional results.Afternoon Duty (13:30 - 18:30): urgent triage (capped at 15 messages), supporting staff, processing results and duty related home visits.When Clinics Are Under CapacityYou may support extra admin, trainee debriefing, QI or audit activities, or supervisory work.Enhanced Services & QOFYou will contribute to QOF, local enhanced services, Ealing Standards and flu clinics, tailored to your interests.Teaching, Education & CPDParticipation in teaching, tutorials, monthly meetings (counted as CPD), governance sessions and ongoing professional development.Additional ResponsibilitiesAudits, cremation forms and routine reports.About usCrown Street Surgery is a well-established,busy and diverse training practice located in the centre of Acton. Your core responsibilities will include delivering routine and duty clinics, participating in collaborative clinical discussions, contributing to practice development, and engaging with the wider primary care team.Clinical SessionsConduct morning clinics from approximately 09:30 - 12:30, seeing up to 15 patients.Conduct afternoon clinics from 14:30 - 17:00, seeing up to 15 patients.Undertake home visits only if the paramedic is unavailable, allocated according to the practices structured rota.Share clinical administrative tasks on a pro - rata basis, including reviewing documents, prescriptions, and results.Duty Doctor ResponsibilitiesYou will take part in the Duty Doctor rota, with a minimum of two duty sessions per week (based on an 8 session working pattern), including at least one afternoon duty session.Morning Duty (08:30 - 13:30):On-call for urgent patient needs from 08:30 onwards.Telephone triage of urgent cases and e-consults.Responding to queries from reception, nursing teams, and trainees.Debriefing learners where needed.Processing results in rare circumstances, particularly when colleagues are on leave.Afternoon Duty (13:30 - 18:30):On-call for urgent issues throughout the afternoon.Telephone triage of urgent cases and e-consults (capped at 15 messages in the afternoon).Handling clinical queries from staff and supporting trainees.Processing lab results for doctors absent or not on site that day.Undertaking home visits arising from the duty session (if paramedics are fully booked).When Clinic Capacity Is UnderUtilisedAdditional admin tasks (letters or scripts)Debriefing students or traineesQuality improvement or audit activitySupervisory work or QI projectsEnhanced Services & QOFYou will contribute to local enhanced services, QOF, Ealing Standards and flu clinics, with responsibilities agreed based on your interests and the needs of the partnership.
