Safety Lead Bristol/AndoverMy client is seeking an experienced Safety Lead to oversee safety management across Digital programmes, ensuring systems and services are safe, compliant, and effectively managed throughout their lifecycle.ResponsibilitiesLead safety management strategies, frameworks, and assurance activities. Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations, maintaining safety cases, hazard logs, and risk assessments. Identify and manage risks, ensuring hazards are mitigated to ALARP. Embed safety into system design and Agile delivery, supporting reviews and technical assurance. Engage with stakeholders including Defence clients and regulators, providing clear safety advice. Establish governance structures, maintain accurate documentation, and support audits. Promote a strong safety culture through training and continuous improvement.RequirementsProven safety management experience in aerospace or regulated sectors. Strong knowledge of safety engineering, safety cases, and hazard analysis (HAZID, HAZOP, FMEA). Familiarity with UK safety standards and managing complex programmes. Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Experience in Agile environments and ability to work independently.DesirableExperience in digital/government environments, knowledge of software or cyber safety, understanding of UK government context, and relevant professional certifications.SC Clearance needed - 1/2 days on site - rate outside IR35JBRP1_UKTJ
