What You’ll Do
Support risk workshops and help capture and analyse project risks
Assist in developing risk registers and reporting for projects and programmes
Learn advanced techniques such as Quantitative Cost and Schedule Risk Analysis (QCRA/QSRA)
Collaborate with experienced risk managers and project controls teams
Contribute to delivering tailored risk solutions for major UK infrastructure projects

Programme & Project Risk Managers
At Stantec, our Risk Management group has a significant track record of successful delivery across the UK Water and Infrastructure sectors. Supporting our clients to deliver efficient and innovative solutions with communities in mind, we provide risk services to some of the largest capital investment programmes across our Water, Energy and Transport business lines.
We are seeking Programme and Project Risk Managers to join us in any of our UK or Ireland offices. We can offer a welcoming environment to work in, the opportunity to work on exciting projects across collaborative multi‑disciplinary teams, and flexible & hybrid working models within a highly supportive Organisation.
You will join a team of recognised risk management experts across the UK, with a variety of global experience in different sectors, who are focused and passionate about industry‑leading risk management practices.
You will work alongside programme management and project controls experts, providing expert advice on the appropriate risk management activities to assist in the successful delivery of client outcomes. You will provide a service to one or more programmes or projects and will work with Clients across various sectors to develop and deliver tailored risk management solutions on some of the UK’s most exciting projects or programmes.
You will advise on different risk management frameworks and the interaction between project and programme‑level risk management while collaborating with other project controls functions to achieve an integrated risk‑management approach. You will undertake risk techniques as necessary, including Quantitative Cost Risk Analysis, and Quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis.
Building your reputation with Clients to become their trusted risk advisor will be critical to your success.
About You
You will be qualified to a degree level (or equivalent) in an appropriate subject or IRM diploma, with a sound knowledge of risk management framework and experience of working in and managing risk. You will communicate with stakeholders at all levels and be able to support the development, mitigation and delivery of successful programmes, you will also be able to build and maintain great client relationships.
You will have a good understanding of the programme lifecycle and be able to provide risk management services across all elements, as well as the ability to run QSRA and QCRA modelling. Finally, you will be comfortable preparing, facilitating and communicating findings from risk workshops.
