* Location: Wigan

* Experience Preferred: Experience supporting young people in a children’s residential setting preferred; NVQ Level 3 Children and Young People’s Workforce or equivalent desirable. Full UK manual driving licence (essential).

* Role Overview: Provide exceptional care to children and young people aged 0-16 with complex backgrounds, challenging behaviour, and emotional behavioural difficulties (EBD), using a systemic therapeutic approach. Responsibilities include supporting personal care, health, education, and recreational activities, promoting care plans (health, education, independence, social, emotional, and personal well-being), and ensuring a safe, nurturing environment. Maintain high standards of professional conduct, promote cultural and religious needs, and ensure compliance with organisational policies, health and safety standards, and data protection regulations. Record events, write reports, and attend meetings (e.g., LAC, education). Transport young people to family contact, school, or health appointments. Act as a role model and mentor new staff.
