The Role
As the Research and Insights Manager, youll play a key role in our research and insights activity, building strong evidence based on workforce needs, skills gaps and sector trends across land-based and environmental industries.
Youll manage a portfolio of research projects, working with colleagues and external partners to deliver high-quality, actionable insight that informs policy development, product design and external engagement.
This is a highly influential role, combining analytical rigour with real world impact, and offering the chance to shape how evidence drives decisions across Lantra and the wider sector, while also providing a strong development opportunity for someone keen to learn, grow their expertise and demonstrate the impact of their work.
About You
Were looking for someone who is curious, analytical and motivated by impact - a person who enjoys exploring evidence, asking the right questions and turning complex information into insight that can genuinely influence decisions.
Youll be comfortable working with both qualitative and quantitative data, but equally confident explaining what it means to people who arent research specialists.
Youll be collaborative and engaging, able to build strong relationships with colleagues and external partners, and happy working across teams to ensure research is relevant, accessible and used in practice. Youll bring a strategic mindset, spotting emerging trends and skills issues, while also being practical and organised enough to manage multiple projects to time and budget.
Were looking for proven experience of managing or delivering research projects, working with external suppliers or partners, and producing insights that have informed policy, planning or decision making. Experience of workforce, skills or labour market research - or working with sector or government bodies - would be an advantage but isnt essential. Above all, youll be adaptable, resilient and keen to use evidence to make a real difference.
Youll also need a full, valid driving licence and access to a vehicle, due to our location.
We reserve the right to close this vacancy early if we receive sufficient applications for the role. Therefore, if you are interested, please submit your application as early as possible.
Other organisations may call this role Insights Manager, Research Manager, Research and Analysis Manager, Data and Insights Manager, Market Research Manager, Insights and Analytics Manager, Evidence and Insights Manager, or Research and Evaluation Manager.
