Sous Chef - Relief Team
£42,000 + overtime

Are you a versatile Sous Chef with strong contract catering experience, comfortable delivering both staff dining and hospitality-led food? We’re looking for a Relief Sous Chef to support our London operations, providing consistency, quality, and leadership across a variety of sites.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and stepping into new kitchens to support teams, mobilise contracts, and maintain high standards — with occasional opportunities to travel abroad supporting our F1 operations.

What you’ll be doing

• Providing chef cover primarily Monday to Friday, with some evenings and occasional weekends (overtime paid)
• Travelling across London and occasionally beyond, including some international travel linked to F1 events
• Supporting multiple contract catering sites across staff dining and hospitality
• Assisting with new contract mobilisations and helping teams settle into new operations
• Delivering high-quality food across staff dining and hospitality services
• Working with kitchen brigades of all sizes, from small teams to large-scale operations
• Supporting challenged sites, driving improvement and maintaining morale
• Attending supplier visits, tastings, and industry forums to stay ahead of food trends
• Acting as a professional, flexible, and positive presence at every site

Who we’re looking for

• Experienced in contract catering, ideally within a relief or Sous Chef role
• Comfortable delivering both staff dining and hospitality catering
• Adaptable and resilient, confident walking into new environments
• Calm under pressure with strong organisational skills
• A strong communicator who builds rapport with teams and clients
• A team player with leadership capability, happy to support or step in when needed
