Relief Chef
to support our kitchen as and when required, helping us serve nutritious, well-prepared meals that make a real difference to peoples lives. This is a rewarding opportunity for a chef who enjoys cooking with purpose, values teamwork, and takes pride in maintaining high standards in a community-focused kitchen. About the role As a Relief Chef, youll be responsible for delivering healthy, cost-effective menus that meet a range of dietary and nutritional needs. Youll work in a commercial kitchen environment, ensuring excellent food hygiene and safety standards at all times, and leaving the kitchen clean, organised, and ready for service. Youll also play a key role in supporting and guiding Assistants and Volunteers, helping to create a positive, respectful, and collaborative kitchen culture. What were looking for Were keen to hear from chefs who: Have solid experience preparing and serving food in a commercial kitchen Enjoy working with and supporting others, including volunteers Understand the importance of catering for diverse community needs Communicate clearly in English and build positive working relationships Share and respect the values, aims, and ethos of The Salvation Army Why join us?
