Supporting their products performance in medical equipment, hygiene conscious consumer goods, construction home build environments, advanced textiles and many other areas.

We are recruiting an important role for our client, a key individual to be the sole internal Regulatory Affairs Manager/Consultant, responsible for all regulatory compliance and submission matters for the company. Acting as the point of liaison with third party regulatory agencies and working collaboratively with all your cross functional colleagues. Supporting them regarding guidance of compliance activities and maintenance of accurate records. You will report directly to the Managing Director and contribute to wider strategic decision-making, including taking responsibility for preparing and submitting business-critical regulatory documents and keeping abreast of wider industry developments and changes to chemical regulations. This role will ensure all products comply with global, regional and local regulations, evaluating also for environmental and safety impact. As such you must have EU Regulations experience and knowledge of Regulatory Frameworks such as REACH, CLP, BPR (biocidal regs), GHS, EPA, FPA etc and regulatory databases. (Experience of SDS authoring tool would be beneficial, plus any additional knowledge of Development or Polymer Chemistry, Product Stewardship, or Toxicology would be advantageous.) As anyone knows working in this arena, the scope of this regulatory work has vastly increased since Brexit, and the skills of Regulatory compliance candidates are always in demand. This role is offering something different to the successful individual, as it will support you to develop with the company in the exciting, important arena of surface antimicrobial Biocides. This role will give you a new challenge in a fast-paced company, with the opportunity to contribute and truly make an impact in this growth and well-established SME now and for the future. You must have at least 3-5 years solid, or leadership experience in a regulatory compliance role within industry, ideally from a Chemicals or Biocides environment, or from working within the Health & Safety Executive (HSE). This could be from any related arena, including such as coatings, additives, polymers, other biocides, household care cleaning, pharma etc. It is essential you are eligible to work in the UK. We seek someone living locally or willing/seeking to be based locally to Coventry or in the Midlands region, to be able to commute into the office regularly; or you may already be planning to relocate to the area for personal reasons. We expect you will be qualified to degree level, (ideally to MSc or PhD and in a subject related to Chemistry, or Polymer Engineering, Regulatory or Environmental Science, Advanced Materials, Chemical Engineering etc).
