Service: supported accommodation 4 bedroom home Service Users:16-17 year olds As a registered manager you are required to deliver services which are compliant to the Children’s Home Regulations and Quality standards 2015, Children’s Act 2004, working together to safeguard young people and take leadership and responsibility in the opening of a new service and lead the registration process with ofsted under the guide of an experienced Registered Individual.
Experience: Qualifications Required: Level 5 Diploma in leadership and management in residential care or Equivalent or working towards and must have at least 2 years’ experience in the last 5 years in a residential setting working with children and at least 1 year in a manager/supervisor role.
Registered Managers role: We are looking for a manager or deputy to step up and progress onto the registered manager role; somebody who is looking to change the lives of a young person and help shape and nurture their future.
Candidate expectations We expect the candidate to follow the homes statement of purpose and exercise the ethos to shape a certain culture that allows the development and progression of young people.
You will provide support and guidance and ensure the safety of young people.
Whilst developing high aspirations.
You will oversee the day to day operations of the home displaying enthusiasm and hands on approach.
Implementing quality assurance processes will be key.
You will guide and lead a team of staff collaborating with one, shared goal supporting one another and sharing ideas.
Effective communication will be achieved young people, their families, social worker, using your expertise in the sector.
You provide excellent support provision whilst maintain an emphatic approach and strive to improve the home with support provided.
You will work alongside your team to help them develop their skill set, and encourage further learning to allow the young person to develop and reach their potential, always putting needs of young person first.
A good work life balance will be enjoyed at the service, you will be supported by an experienced Responsible Individual to help lead your team allowing you to apply your own vision and creativity.
