Location: Monmouthshire Salary: Up to £45,000 Full-time, 40 hours + on-call rota A great opportunity for an experienced residential childcare professional to lead a children's home supporting young people with emotional, behavioural and developmental needs.
The Role
Lead the day-to-day running of the home and ensure high-quality, child-centred care. Maintain a safe, warm and nurturing environment for young people. Oversee routines, activities, household tasks and key working. Ensure CIW compliance and drive continuous improvement. Build positive relationships with young people, staff and external professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and support the staff team through supervision, coaching and rota planning. Lead on care plans, risk assessments and documentation. Support effective behaviour management and safeguarding practice. Maintain strong communication, handovers and team meetings. Manage budgets, resources and contribute to recruitment.
About You
