Quantity Surveyor Salary: Up to £45k Location: Penketh Join a leading multidisciplinary design and build contractor committed to delivering innovative infrastructure solutions across the UK. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a vital role in managing costs, contracts, and procurement activities on large-scale projects in industries such as Water, Power & Energy, Pharmaceuticals, Nuclear, and Food & Beverage. The Role: You will prepare and agree interim valuations, variations, final accounts, weekly progress updates, and subcontract payment certificates. You will make sure all contractual notices are issued correctly and that Compensation Event quotations are submitted on time. You will monitor labour, materials, plant, prelims, and subcontract costs to keep the project aligned with its commercial targets, using internal systems to track progress and risks. You will help place subcontract orders, support tenders, and check that materials are purchased within agreed allowances. You will keep the Key Account Manager and Managing QS informed of any cost pressures or risks and take on any additional duties needed to support the commercial delivery of each project. You will offer clear commercial guidance to project teams, adapt to different contract types, and take part in training and annual reviews to continue developing your skills. xehkeey What you'll bring: A related Quantity Surveying degree (desirable: QS or Commercial Management degree or equivalent) A full UK driving licence Construction industry experience Strong verbal and written communication skills Understanding of cost value reconciliations Ability to collate actual costs and compare them against target costs Knowledge of subcontract procurement and subcontract administration A solid understanding of forms of contract and methods of measurement Great attention to detail (desirable: RICS Chartership or working towards it) (desirable: NEC accreditation or recognised NEC professional training) We offer a range of benefits designed to support your life in and out of work, some of which include; Company Pension Scheme Private Health Death in Service Benefit Hybrid working is available following initial probationary period.
