Quantity Surveyor

Location: Kent (Office Based with Site Visits)

Salary: £55,000 – £75,000 + Travel (DOE)

A well-established, family-owned Main Contractor is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to support the commercial delivery of commercial and retail fit-out and refurbishment projects across London and the South East, typically valued up to £5m.

Based from their Kent office, this role offers a mix of office working, site visits, and 1 day working from home. You’ll be joining a close-knit, growing team with a strong pipeline of work and a reputation for delivering high-quality projects.

What you’ll be doing

• Commercially leading projects from pre-construction through to final account

• Doing the cost planning, tendering, and subcontractor procurement

• Preparing and managing valuations, variations, and final accounts

• Monitoring project costs, budgets, and cash flow

• Supporting commercial reporting and forecasting

• Liaising with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners

• Assisting in identifying and mitigating commercial risks

What we’re looking for

• Experience in a Quantity Surveyor role within the fit-out, refurbishment, or main contracting sector

• Good understanding of contracts, procurement, and cost management

• Strong communication and negotiation skills

• Organised, detail-oriented, and commercially aware

• Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
